Dr. Philip Turner

Biography

Philip Turner is a post-doctoral research fellow at the University of Southampton, specializing in urban design and sustainable architecture with a focus on household energy use demand and behavior change. He completed his PhD thesis on the impacts of urban interventions on the reinvigoration of secondary and tertiary high streets, contributing to the multidisciplinary research programme known as Liveable Cities. His research interests encompass measuring the impact of interventions on people, and he possesses highly developed skills in surveying, interviewing, and both observational and statistical analysis. Turner has also worked as an architectural assistant at Snug Architects and holds an MEng (Hons) degree in Civil Engineering and Architecture from the University of Southampton. He is a member of the Energy Climate Change Group, contributing to the ongoing efforts in sustainable urban development and regeneration.
