Dr. Philipp Cornelius

Biography

Philipp Cornelius is an Associate Professor in Technology Operations Management at the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University Rotterdam. He holds a PhD in Management Science & Innovation from the UCL School of Management, University College London, and a BSc in Information Systems from the University of Mannheim, Germany. His research interests encompass the operational challenges of innovation management, focusing on aspects such as customer interactions, product development decisions, and idea selection. Philipp also explores platform-facilitated innovation, including crowdfunding, and investigates related questions using causal estimation combined with machine learning on large-scale data from organizations leveraging innovation platforms. He co-leads platform research under the Dutch national funding plan, aimed at assessing the societal effects of digitalization.
