Biography

Philipp Neumann is the first leading scientist at DESY in the field of computer science. His research focuses on high-performance computing for molecular dynamics simulations, multiscale simulations of fluid dynamics, and machine learning. As head of DESY-IT, he is also responsible for coordinating the Helmholtz Federated Services (HIFIS), a federated IT infrastructure and platform to support research efforts within the Helmholtz Community.
