Biography

Philippe Bonnet is an experimental computer scientist with a strong background in database systems and an expertise in storage system software. He has significantly contributed to projects such as the uFlip Benchmark, the Linux multiqueue block layer, and the framework for Open-Channel SSDs. His work on computational storage includes the OX architecture and the xNVMe library Delilah, as well as a prototype for eBPF offload computational storage. Philippe was involved in the development of sensor networks during the early 2000s through the Cougar project at Cornell University and has participated in projects at the University of Copenhagen including the Hogthrob Mana project. He is a co-author of a book on database tuning with Dennis Shasha. His current research includes participation in the DAPHNE Project and focuses on Edge-Based AI and Predictive Maintenance.
