Biography

Philippe Gauthier holds a doctorate in sociology from EHESS (Paris, France), a Master's in planning, and a Bachelor's in industrial design from the University of Montreal. He has been an associate professor at the School of Design since 2002, working at the intersection of design, sociology of science, and anthropology. Throughout his career, Gauthier has developed many partnerships with public and quasi-public organizations, allowing him to explore the contributions of design beyond its traditionally associated sectors.
