Dr. Philippe Gilchrist

Biography

Philippe Gilchrist is an Associate Professor in the School of Psychological Sciences at Macquarie University. He completed his MA in Counselling Psychology in 2006, focusing on cognitive-behavioral therapies in Canada, and earned his PhD in Clinical Psychology from McGill University in 2015. Philippe has held various academic positions including a Fellowship as a Visiting Lecturer at the Department of Psychology at the University of Cambridge. Since joining Macquarie University in 2018, he has served as the Director of Clinical Psychology and currently holds the position of Director of Education. His qualifications also include professional registration as a Clinical Psychologist in Canada, Australia, and dual registration in the UK. Philippe teaches at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, covering topics in clinical psychology and health psychology.
