Biography

Philippe Krebs received his MSc in Biochemistry from the University of Fribourg in 2001. He completed his PhD at the Institute of Experimental Immunology at the University Hospital of Zurich and the Institute of Immunobiology at the Cantonal Hospital of St-Gallen in 2005. Following his doctoral studies, he underwent postdoctoral training at the Scripps Research Institute in San Diego, California. In October 2011, he became an independent research group leader at the Institute of Pathology, University of Bern. His research interests primarily focus on the role of inflammation in tumorigenesis and the cross-talk between innate and adaptive immunity in both sterile and infectious conditions.
