Biography

Philippe joined the University of Guelph in August 2016, where he is an Associate Professor in the Department of Management. He holds a PhD in Accounting and Governance from the University of Birmingham in the UK. Prior to joining the University of Guelph, he was a Lecturer in Accounting at the University of Southampton (UK) from 2013 to 2016, where he taught financial accounting and management accounting to undergraduate and postgraduate students. In addition to his academic experience, Philippe has worked in the banking sector as a financial analyst and in the non-financial sector as a finance manager. His current research interests focus on Francophone accounting, the interplay between accounting, governance, and development in disadvantaged communities, and the development of IFRS.
