Biography

Dr. Phillip Mills is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Dalhousie University. He holds a Medical Degree from Queens University of Belfast, UK, and has completed residency training in Family Medicine Psychiatry at the same institution. Dr. Mills earned a Master’s Degree in Medical Science specializing in Psychotherapy from Queens University of Belfast. He is actively involved in both undergraduate and postgraduate education, supervising Psychiatry and Family Medicine residents in clinical rotations and electives in Community Mental Health and Addictions Psychiatry. His research interests primarily focus on comorbid mental illness and addiction as well as knowledge translation in shared care within primary care settings. He is a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in the UK and is also a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Psychiatry.
