Biography

Phoebe Gao is an Assistant Professor in Business (Finance) at the Singapore Institute of Technology. She has a PhD in Business (Finance) from Singapore Management University. Her research interests include finance, particularly in the factors driving investor behaviors and stock return predictions. She has been involved in several projects focusing on exchange-traded funds and market aggregates. Prior to her current role, she held a lecturing position at SIT from 2018 to 2021. Phoebe holds a Master of Philosophy in Risk Management Science from The Chinese University of Hong Kong and a Bachelor of Science in the same field. Throughout her academic career, she has received several notable scholarships, including the MOE Post Graduate Full Scholarship in Singapore and multiple full scholarships in Hong Kong, as well as being listed on the Double Dean’s List at United College.
