Dr. Photini Papacharalambous

Biography

Photini Papacharalambous is a Senior Clinical Lecturer in Prosthodontics at the Edinburgh Dental Institute, part of the University of Edinburgh's College of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine. She qualified as a dentist from the Dental School of the University of Athens in 2014, where she developed her passion for Prosthodontics. After moving to Scotland, she completed a full-time, 3-year postgraduate course at the University of Edinburgh, culminating in the award of a Doctorate of Clinical Dentistry (DClinDent) in Prosthodontics with distinction. She received the Nairn Wilson medal for clinical academic excellence. Her primary research interests lie in complex full-mouth rehabilitations using conventional and implant-borne treatment modalities. Alongside her academic responsibilities, she actively treats patients in private practice and teaches at the restorative department of the Edinburgh Dental Institute. Her dedication to the field is reflected in her contributions to academic literature, with a recent article published in January 2024.
