Professor Dr. Pier Dragotti

Biography

Professor Pier Luigi Dragotti is a faculty member in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Imperial College London. His research interests primarily focus on mathematical methods in signal processing and high-dimensional data analysis. He applies these methods to develop interpretable model-based neural networks specifically for computational imaging. His notable works include contributions to model-based deep learning for inverse problems in imaging and the development of the WINNet, a wavelet-inspired invertible network for image denoising. With numerous publications in prominent journals, he has engaged in significant discussions around machine learning applications in imaging and has been involved in mentorship roles for PhD projects in the field of AI imaging.
