Dr. Pierpaolo Trimboli

Biography

Professor Pierpaolo Trimboli, MD, completed his medical degree in 2001 and received his postgraduate education in Endocrinology and Metabolism Diseases in 2006 at the Thyroid Center of Sapienza University of Rome, Italy. His training emphasized the diagnosis and treatment of both malignant and benign thyroid tumors. Throughout his postgraduate career, he contributed significantly to the field through publications in renowned scientific medical journals. He has also worked at Ospedale Israelitico in Rome, conducting clinical investigations on thyroid tumors, which were subsequently published in major international journals. In 2016, he relocated to Switzerland to join the Thyroid Center of Ente Ospedaliero Cantonale in Bellinzona and Lugano. His primary responsibilities include managing thyroid cancers, goiter, biopsy of thyroid nodules, and providing non-surgical treatments for benign thyroid conditions, such as radiofrequency ablation. He has published over one hundred articles in prestigious journals related to thyroid endocrinological diseases and is regarded as an expert in areas including thyroid cancer diagnosis and treatment, thyroid dysfunction, and management of hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism.
