Biography

Dr. Bernier is an attending cardiac surgeon and Assistant Professor of Pediatric Surgery at McGill University in Montreal. He graduated from McGill University Medical School and completed his residency training at McGill as well. Following his residency, he obtained fellowship training in congenital cardiac surgery at Columbia University and Children's Hospital in New York City, as well as Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. In 2014, he returned to Montreal to begin his practice at the Montreal Children's Hospital and Royal Victoria Hospital. Dr. Bernier is also an associate member at CHU Ste-Justine and the Montreal Heart Institute. His clinical interests include pediatric cardiac surgery, adult congenital cardiac surgery, and cardiothoracic surgery, with research areas focusing on surgical outcomes, medical technology, and precision health.
