Biography

Pierre Donatella is an Associate Professor at the University of Gothenburg, specializing in Public Administration. He holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration from the School of Business, Economics, and Law. His teaching encompasses financial accounting, where he supervises thesis work and participates in examinations. He has authored and co-authored numerous journal articles exploring financial reporting and auditing practices among local governments, with a focus on understanding variations in accounting approaches. Additionally, he has developed textbooks on financial analysis and municipal financial reporting. His professional involvement extends to various governmental roles, including significant assignments with the Swedish Ministry of Finance and the Swedish National Audit Office, enhancing his engagement with community capacities through practical-oriented research in local government accounting and management. Pierre serves as the Director of Doctoral Studies at the School of Public Administration and is actively engaged in several research and educational initiatives.
