Biography

Pierre Gönczy received his PhD from Rockefeller University, New York, USA, in 1995. He joined the laboratory of Tony Hyman at EMBL in Heidelberg, Germany, as a postdoctoral fellow in 1996. In 2000, he started his own laboratory at ISREC. He became an Associate Professor at EPFL's School of Life Sciences in 2005 and was promoted to Full Professor in 2009. Gönczy has supervised numerous PhD students, contributing significantly to the field of life sciences.
