I am an ethnologist whose research interests focus on the moral and epistemological dimensions of medical practice, the experiences of those affected by humanitarian aid, and the institutionalization of global health education. I have been conducting ethnographic research in Haiti since 1997 and have also led research projects in the United States and the Dominican Republic. I teach courses on medical anthropology theory, epistemology, the Caribbean, mental health, and research methodology. I am available to work with postdoctoral researchers and graduate students who wish to conduct research in these areas.
