Biography

Pieter Roffelsen is a Research Associate at the University of Sydney, affiliated with the Integrable Systems Group, and has previously worked as a Research Fellow in the Geometry and Mathematical Physics group at SISSA in Trieste. Pieter received his PhD in Mathematics from the University of Sydney in 2017 under the supervision of Nalini Joshi. His doctoral research focused on Riemann-Hilbert theory, differential and discrete equations, complex curves, and monodromy manifolds, particularly exploring the reconstruction of equations with prescribed monodromy and the roles of special functions such as orthogonal polynomials and Painlevé transcendents, along with Heun accessory parameters. He has a keen interest in quantization problems and asymptotic analysis within these contexts.
