Biography

Pietro Bonizzi is an Associate Professor at Maastricht University in the Department of Advanced Computing Sciences. He has developed an interest in ECG-Imaging, a technique used to generate non-invasive images of cardiac electrical potentials. His work aims to help medical professionals by providing efficient diagnostic tools, improving the interpretation of patients' conditions, and enhancing treatment outcomes. He has also said that his objective is to leverage Deep Learning techniques to advance ECG-Imaging and extract relevant geometric information regarding the heart from imaging data. Overall, his expertise and research interests cover signal processing, time-series analysis, and their applications in medicine and biology.
