Dr. Pinar Ozcan

Biography

Pinar Ozcan is a Professor of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford. She is the academic director of the Oxford Entrepreneurship Centre and a globally recognized expert in fintech, strategy, AI governance, and digital transformation. Pinar advises governments, regulators, and boards on innovation strategy within fast-moving and highly regulated sectors. Her current work focuses on AI-enabled business models, digital platform ecosystems, and the role of technology in financial inclusion. With over 20 years of strategic insight, Pinar has worked with a range of organizations from Silicon Valley startups to European regulators and global financial institutions. She has served as an advisor to the UK’s Competition and Markets Authority, the Financial Conduct Authority, the European Commission, and the OECD. Pinar holds a PhD in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University and has earned multiple awards for her academic work. She was recognized as one of the Top 40 Business School Professors by Poets & Quants and was included in the Thinkers 50 list of emerging thinkers in 2018. Additionally, Pinar was selected for the Global Women Fintech Powerlist by Innovate Finance and the Advisory Committee for the OECD Digital SMEs Global Initiative. Pinar is also a multilingual professional with extensive teaching experience in strategy, entrepreneurship, and technology management across various executive programmes.
