Biography

Ping Liao is an Associate Professor with a focus on Neuro-oncology at the Singapore Institute of Technology. He holds a PhD in Neuro-oncology from the National University of Singapore. His educational background includes a Master of Surgery from West China University of Medical Sciences and an MBBS in Medicine. He has been actively involved in academic research, particularly in the areas related to ischemic stroke and neuroprotection. His research interests extend to cerebral edema, neuroregeneration, and cerebral damage associated with transient potential channels and calcium homeostasis. Liao has been awarded the Swee-Liew Wadsworth Research Gold Award in 2014 and received a PhD Scholarship from NUS. He is a member of the Academic Medicine Research Institute at DUKE-NUS Singhealth since 2012.
