Dr. Ping Wang received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 1994 and 1997, respectively, in Electrical Information Engineering. He completed his PhD degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Waterloo, Canada, in 2008. He is currently a Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at York University, where he also holds a Tier 2 York Research Chair. Previously, he worked at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore from 2008 to 2018. His recent research interests are centered on integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) techniques into communications and computing networks. His scholarly works have been widely disseminated in top-ranked IEEE journals and conferences. He has received the IEEE Communications Society (ComSoc) Survey Paper Award in 2023, as well as Paper Awards at several prestigious conferences. He has also been recognized in the Clarivate Highly Cited Researchers list from 2021 to 2025 and Stanford’s top 2% of world’s top researchers. Dr. Wang serves as Associate Editor-in-Chief for IEEE Communications Surveys & Tutorials and is involved with numerous editorial activities and conference committees. He is also an IEEE Fellow and a distinguished lecturer for the Vehicular Technology Society.
