Pradeep Lamichhane holds a position as a Research Fellow in the School of Engineering at the University of Warwick, having joined in 2022. His primary research focus is on chemicals produced by small-scale plasma-based plants powered by renewable energy sources. This investigation is supported by the ERC Synergy Grant titled 'Surface-COnfined fast modulated Plasma process Energy intensification' (SCOPE), sponsored by the European Commission. Dr. Lamichhane earned his MSc in Physics from Tribhuvan University in Nepal and completed his doctoral studies at Kwangwoon University in Seoul, Korea, where his research concentrated on non-thermal plasma generation and diagnosis. After completing his doctoral degree, he spent a year as a researcher at the Plasma-Bioscience Research Centre before joining the University of Warwick. His research interests include the creation of cold atmospheric pressure plasma sources, plasma jets, and Dielectric Barrier Discharge (DBD) systems, as well as the evaluation of plasma sources using electrical spectroscopic techniques. He also explores the interactions of plasma with liquids and investigates the biomedical applications of plasmas, including their use in agriculture as micro-fertilizers.
Includes General, Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Biomedical, and Manufacturing Engineering. Most programs fall under English Band A.
