Dr. Pramod Bonde

Biography

Pramod N. Bonde is an accomplished cardiac surgeon with expertise in the full spectrum of advanced cardiac surgical procedures, including coronary artery bypass grafting, aortic and mitral valve repair/replacement, and heart transplantation. He is internationally recognized for his work in minimally invasive cardiac surgery, which provides patients with reduced postoperative pain and quicker recovery times. As an Associate Professor of Cardiac Surgery at Yale School of Medicine, Dr. Bonde leads a research team focused on developing fully implantable artificial heart technologies. His pioneering contributions include the use of left ventricular assist devices (LVADs) in patients awaiting heart transplants and providing durable therapy for end-stage heart failure patients. Dr. Bonde emphasizes individualized, patient-centered care and dedicates his efforts to advancing the field of heart surgery to enhance patient outcomes and quality of life. His ultimate aim is to help restore patients to active and fulfilling lives within their communities and families.
