Biography

Assistant Professor Rajivan joined the Industrial & Systems Engineering department in 2018. He holds a Ph.D. in Human Systems Engineering from Arizona State University, obtained in 2014, as well as an M.S. in Computing Studies from the same institution in 2011, and a B.Tech in Information Technology from Anna University, Chennai, India, in 2007. His research focuses on cyber security, particularly on how human factors influence security challenges. Rajivan's dissertation work was recognized as a finalist for the Human Factors Prize in Cyber Security in 2017. He was also awarded the Student Paper Award for his research on multi-agent models in teamwork during the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society annual conference in 2014. His professional activities include peer reviewing for journals such as Computers in Human Behavior and Human Factors, Cognitive Engineering, and Decision Making.
