Biography

Pratheepa Jeganathan is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at McMaster University. Her research group addresses challenges in multi-view learning, particularly focusing on modeling dependencies among heterogeneous data sources. The group develops novel methods motivated by applications in molecular microbiology, spatial omics, and sensor-based traffic data. With a background in statistical methods for high-throughput data, her areas of expertise include statistical theory, spatial statistics, and statistical learning. Pratheepa holds a PhD in Mathematics with an emphasis on Statistics from Texas Tech University, as well as an MSc in Statistics from the same institution. Additionally, she completed her BSc in Statistics and Operations Research from the University of Peradeniya. Following her doctoral studies, she served as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Statistics at Stanford University from 2016 to 2020.
