Biography

Predrag Cvitanović is the Glen P. Robinson Chair in Nonlinear Sciences at Georgia Institute of Technology. He holds a Ph.D. from Cornell University (1973) and a B.S. from MIT (1969). Cvitanović has received several prestigious awards for his contributions to physics, including the Glen P. Robinson Chair in Nonlinear Sciences and the Forschungspreis der Alexander von Humboldt-Stiftung in 2009. He is a distinguished member of the Royal Danish Academy of Sciences and Letters and serves as a corresponding member of the Croatian Academy of Arts and Sciences. Cvitanović is also recognized as a Fellow of the American Physical Society and the Institute of Physics. His research primarily focuses on nonlinear dynamics, and he has been actively involved in the organization of international events, including serving as the Honorary Chair for the ``Let's Face Chaos Nonlinear Dynamics'' conference in Maribor, Slovenia from 1999 to 2011. He is considerably engaged in academic administration, having chaired the Colloquium Committee in 2010-11 and participated in the Graduate Committee. For teaching and outreach, he has developed resources such as the ChaosBook.org tutorials that serve the academic community.
