Biography

Preet S. Aulakh is a Professor of Strategy and holds the Pierre Lassonde Chair in International Business at the Schulich School of Business, York University. He has earned PhD degrees in Law from Osgoode Hall Law School at York University and in Business from the University of Texas at Austin. He also holds a BS in Mathematics and an MA in History from Panjab University, Chandigarh, India. His research focuses on international business, particularly the dynamics of firms in emerging economies and the institutional factors influencing internationalization. Aulakh has authored numerous publications examining international alliances, technology transfer, and cross-border knowledge transfers. His notable works include 'Rethinking Globalization(s)' and 'Mobilities of Labour and Capital in Asia'. He has received several awards for his contributions to research, including the York University Research Leader Award and the Gold Medal for Exceptional Contributions to the Journal of International Business Studies. Aulakh has also held visiting positions at the Indian School of Business and the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta.
