Biography

Preeti Patel is a Professor of Global Health and Conflict at King's College London, where she serves as the Co-Director of the Centre for Conflict Health Research. With a focus on the complex relationships between global health, security, and political governance in conflict-affected regions, she employs qualitative research methods to improve health systems and policies for an estimated 500 million civilians impacted by conflict and forced migration globally. Preeti has also contributed to the education of future leaders through her teaching in health security and political emergencies at both undergraduate and master’s levels, and supervises several PhD candidates on related topics.
