Biography

Prema Arasu is an adjunct research fellow at the University of Western Australia, specializing in creative writing and the environmental humanities. They hold a BA (Hons) in English Cultural Studies from UWA, a Master of Letters in Modern Contemporary Literature Culture from the University of St. Andrews, and a PhD in Creative Writing from UWA. Prema's works include speculations on themes such as speculative fiction, oceanic poetics, and multispecies ethnography. Prema's research interests extend to the cultural imagination of ocean depths and their representation in popular culture, including literature, horror films, and video games.
