Dr. Preston Sprenkle

Biography

Preston C. Sprenkle specializes in the treatment of urologic cancers, particularly prostate cancer, kidney cancer, bladder cancer, and testicular cancer. With a commitment to utilizing advanced technologies to enhance prostate cancer diagnosis and treatment, Dr. Sprenkle has pioneered the use of the Artemis Device, a 3D ultrasound technology combined with magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to accurately identify cancerous tumors. He is a proponent of 'focal therapy,' which allows for targeted treatment of small prostate lesions, minimizing the side effects typically associated with complete prostatectomy. His research interests include improving accuracy in prostate cancer diagnosis and treatment using enhanced imaging techniques, as well as the development of innovative methods such as high-intensity focused ultrasound ablation and other minimally invasive interventions. He is actively involved in clinical trials and has made significant contributions to the National Comprehensive Cancer Network's guidelines on prostate cancer early detection.
