Preyas Desai is the Spencer R. Hassell Professor of Business Administration at the Fuqua School of Business, Duke University. He obtained his M.S. and Ph.D. from Carnegie Mellon University. Professor Desai's scholarly work analyzes the strategic interactions of competing firms and their partnerships within distribution channels. His articles have been published in top-tier academic journals, including Marketing Science, Management Science, Quantitative Marketing Economics, and the Journal of Marketing and Journal of Marketing Research. In addition to his research, he has served as a departmental editor for Management Science, as editor-in-chief for Marketing Science, and is currently on the advisory board of Marketing Science. He is also the president-elect of the INFORMS Society for Marketing Science (ISMS). Over the years, Professor Desai has held several administrative roles, including Senior Associate Dean of Digital Education and Senior Associate Dean of Faculty Affairs. He has chaired the school’s Curriculum Committee, Faculty Technology Committee, co-chaired the Strategic Planning task force, and currently serves as a member of Duke’s academic council.
