Dr. Priscilla Slanetz

Biography

Priscilla J. Slanetz, MD, MPH, is an adjunct professor at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine within the Department of Radiology. She specializes in breast imaging and has a significant focus on the assessment of new imaging modalities for the early detection, diagnosis, and treatment of breast cancer. Dr. Slanetz's expertise encompasses MRI, digital breast tomosynthesis, contrast-enhanced mammography, and artificial intelligence applications in medical imaging. Furthermore, she is a committed medical educator, actively involved in the development and assessment of curricula for medical students and residents, emphasizing professionalism, communication skills, and healthcare disparities. Throughout her 25-year career, she has mentored numerous women from traditionally underrepresented groups in radiology and has sponsored various leadership positions within national organizations. Her work includes state-wide advocacy and promoting diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging within radiology, demonstrating her dedication to exceptional patient care and education.
