Priyanka Basu joined King’s College London in September 2021 and has held visiting fellowships at the Institute of Advanced Studies, UCL and the SOAS South Asia Institute. Currently, she is completing a monograph titled 'Cultural Politics of Folk: Transnational Histories of India and Bangladesh' to be published by Routledge. Her work investigates authenticity, transnational cultural politics in folk genres, and she has published in notable peer-reviewed journals. Additionally, Priyanka is involved in various editorial projects and public engagement activities pertaining to South Asian studies.
