Dr. Pulkit Grover

Biography

Pulkit Grover is a professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University, where he conducts interdisciplinary research focused on developing science-based understanding and designing energy-efficient stable decentralized systems. His work encompasses areas such as low-power communication and computation systems, large control systems, and computational and biological systems. Grover received his Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, in 2010, and has received several prestigious awards, including the NSF CAREER Award in 2014 and the Leonard G. Abraham paper award from the IEEE Communications Society. He has served as co-editor for special issues of the IEEE Journal on Selected Areas in Communications (JSAC), and he has been recognized as one of the 2022-2023 Distinguished Lecturers for the IEEE Information Theory Society. Grover's notable contributions include innovative methods for deep brain stimulation and significant insights into non-invasive neurostimulation techniques. His academic credentials include an M.Tech and B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, completing his M.Tech in 2005 and B.Tech in 2003, respectively.
