Pulkit Grover is an assistant professor at Carnegie Mellon University. Prior to joining CMU in 2013, he was a postdoctoral researcher at Stanford University. His research is focused on interdisciplinary topics directed towards developing decentralized sensing and communication computing systems, including biomedical systems that are energy-efficient and stable. He has received several awards, including the 2010 Student Paper Award from the IEEE Conference on Decision and Control, the 2011 Eli Jury Award from UC Berkeley, and the 2014 NSF CAREER Award. Prof. Grover has served as an editor for issues of the IEEE Journal on Selected Areas in Communications and has co-organized various conferences and workshops. His lab seeks to understand the information flow in neural systems and the development of new neural interfaces. Current research interests include information theory, noninvasive neural sensing, and neural stimulation.
