Dr. Purnima Neogi

Biography

Purnima Neogi is a faculty member at Penn State University, specializing in biotechnology, nanotechnology, and bioengineering. Her research spans multiple disciplines, focusing on plant tissue culture, bio-nanotechnology, and plant biotechnology, particularly the application of nanoparticles in plant and animal systems. She holds a Ph.D. in Life Sciences from Devi Ahilya University and has developed a passion for applying biotechnology in plant systems. Throughout her career, she has collaborated with scientists internationally, bridging the gap between life sciences and engineering. In addition to her research, Neogi is dedicated to teaching and mentoring students, striving to create an interactive learning environment that fosters curiosity, critical thinking, and collaboration.
