Dr. Purushottam Dixit

Biography

Purushottam Dixit is a Professor at Yale University specializing in Biomedical Engineering. He holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Biomolecular Engineering from Johns Hopkins University and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. His research interests lie in cellular signaling, population heterogeneity, ecological evolutionary dynamics within bacterial communities, and cellular metabolism, emphasizing maximum entropy methods. Throughout his career, Dixit has contributed significantly to the understanding of how environmental factors influence cell populations, which is evident in his selected publications in prestigious journals such as eLife and Nature Metabolism.
