Dr. Purushottam Dixit

Biography

Purushottam Dixit is a Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Yale University. He has a distinguished academic background with a Ph.D. in Chemical Biomolecular Engineering from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. His research focuses on cellular signaling, population heterogeneity, ecological evolutionary dynamics in bacterial communities, and cellular metabolism. He employs maximum entropy methods to analyze these complex biological systems. His work has been published in high-impact journals such as 'Nature Metabolism' and 'Cell Systems'.
