Dr. Qiang Liu

Biography

Qiang Liu is an Associate Professor at the University of Texas at Austin in the Department of Computer Science. He leads the Statistical Learning & AI Group and is recognized for his contributions to the fields of advanced machine learning and artificial intelligence. His research interests include Probabilistic Graphical Models, Variational Monte Carlo Inference, Deep Distributed Learning, and Deep Reinforcement Learning. Liu has been involved in numerous significant publications and has presented his work at prestigious conferences such as the International Conference on Machine Learning and Neural Information Processing Systems. His research addresses various problems including Big Data challenges and Kernel Nonparametric Methods with applications in fields like crowdsourcing, vision, and bioinformatics.
