Biography

Qiaozhu Mei is a Professor and Associate Dean for Research Innovation at the University of Michigan's School of Information. He served as the founding director of the Master of Applied Data Science program and has played a significant role in developing online degree programs at the university. Prior to his current position, he received his PhD from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and his Bachelor's degree from Peking University. His research spans multiple subareas of artificial intelligence, including data mining, natural language processing, and information retrieval.
