Dr. Qingbing Zhu

Biography

Qingbing Zhu, MD, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology at Yale School of Medicine. He specializes in cardiac anesthesiology, focusing on providing clinical anesthesia for patients during surgical procedures. Dr. Zhu has extensive training, having completed his medical degree at Sun Yat Sen University in China in 1989, followed by an anesthesia residency at Guangdong Provincial Cardiovascular Institute. He furthered his education with a fellowship in Cardiac Anesthesiology at Yale New Haven Hospital. He joined the faculty at Yale in 2002 and is dedicated to staying updated with the latest advancements in medical technology to better assist his patients, motivating them through their trust in his care. Dr. Zhu's expertise includes general cardiac care and advanced procedures such as robotic mitral valve surgery and minimally invasive heart surgery, as well as his proficiency in transesophageal echocardiography during intraoperative monitoring.
