Biography

Qinghuai Ren completed undergraduate master's studies at the University of Freiburg and Freie Universität Berlin respectively. His master’s thesis focused on the implementation of COVID-19 policies in Chinese cities, analyzing the negotiation processes during the public state policy implementation phase. Currently, Qinghuai Ren is a doctoral candidate in the Department of Social Anthropology at the University of Zurich, under the supervision of Dr. Peter Finke and co-supervision of Professor Christoph Brumann from the Max Planck Institute for Social Anthropology. As of 2023, his engaged research primarily explores themes of social mobility and social conflict.
