Dr. Quentin Huys

Biography

Quentin Huys is a Professor of Computational Psychiatry at the Institute of Neurology, University College London. He is also the Deputy Director of the Max Planck UCL Centre for Computational Psychiatry and Ageing Research. Huys has a background as a consultant psychiatrist at Camden Islington NHS Foundation Trust. He completed his undergraduate studies at Gonville Caius College, University of Cambridge, and later earned his MB/PhD from UCL Medical School, where he was affiliated with the Gatsby Computational Neuroscience Unit under the supervision of Peter Dayan. Following this, he undertook postdoctoral research at the Center for Theoretical Neuroscience at Columbia University, where he also completed a psychiatry residency at the Hospital for Psychiatry in Zurich. Additionally, he served as a Senior Research Fellow at the Translational Neuromodeling Unit at ETH Zürich, University of Zurich. Huys is actively involved in various academic activities such as conference participation, advisory activities, collaborative projects, consultancy, reviewing for journals and conferences, and supervising research degrees and taught course research projects.
