Q. Jane Gu (M’07-SM’15) received her Ph.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2007. With years of industry postdoctoral experience, she began her academic career in 2010 at the University of Florida, and in 2012 moved to the University of California, Davis, where she remained until August 2024. In September 2024, she joined the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Her research interests include high efficiency, low power interconnects, millimeter-wave, sub-mm-wave/terahertz integrated circuits for systems communication, and radar imaging. Throughout her career, her group has garnered nine paper awards at international conferences, exhibiting excellence in student presentations. Additionally, Prof. Gu has received numerous accolades including the NSF CAREER award, the UC Davis Outstanding Junior Faculty Award, the Qualcomm Faculty Award, and has been recognized as a Distinguished Lecturer by the IEEE Solid-State Circuits Society. Her contributions to the field have established her as a leader in mm-wave/THz circuits and systems, high-speed and high-security wireless communications, as well as imaging and sensing radar applications.
