Dr. Quyen Pham

Biography

Quyen Pham is a Lecturer in the Department of Philosophy at Harvard University. Quyen's scholarly work focuses primarily on metaphysics and social philosophy, with particular emphasis on the foundational metaphysical issues surrounding the nature and structure of social groups such as clubs, teams, families, and committees. Pham is deeply interested in how social categories, particularly those related to gender and race, inform our understanding of artifacts and objects in the social world. Her current research seeks to explore questions regarding the nature of interaction, as well as issues of explanation, agency, responsibility, and structural ontological injustice. Quyen received her PhD in Philosophy from the University of Southern California in 2024, and her research sits at the intersection of these various philosophical fields, contributing to a deeper understanding of social dynamics and identity.
