Raj Thilak Rajan is an assistant professor in the Signal Processing Systems (SPS) group at Delft University of Technology. He coordinates the Signals Systems Master's track and co-directs the Delft Sensor AI Lab. He received his Ph.D. from TU Delft in 2016, and prior to that, he earned a Master’s degree and a Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Sciences from the University of Pune, India. He is a senior member of IEEE, having been nominated for a paper award at IEEE CAMSAP in 2013. As vice chair of the IEEE Autonomous Systems Initiative, he is actively involved in various committees including the IAF SCAN committee on Space Communications. Additionally, Dr. Rajan serves as an associate editor for the IEEE Open Journal Signal Processing, and reviews papers for multiple journals and conferences. He has previously held research positions at IMEC in Eindhoven and at the University of Twente, and has been involved in multiple prestigious fellowships in Europe and India. In 2021, he obtained the University Teaching Qualification diploma, reflecting his commitment to education and mentorship in his field.
