Biography

R. Peter Manes, MD is an Associate Professor of Surgery at Yale School of Medicine, specializing in Otolaryngology and dedicated to improving the lives of patients with benign and malignant nasal and sinus tumors. He provides compassionate care utilizing the latest minimally invasive techniques. Dr. Manes received his medical degree from Albany Medical College following his BA in Government from Georgetown University. He completed his residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Georgetown University Hospital and furthered his expertise through a fellowship in rhinology and endoscopic skull base surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. He is board-certified in Otolaryngology, with clinical interests that include allergic rhinitis, nasal obstruction, chronic sinusitis, and cerebral spinal fluid leaks, among others. His research focuses on evaluating emerging technologies and developing novel methods for managing chronic rhinosinusitis. Dr. Manes is committed to collaboration within a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes, especially in complex cases such as pituitary adenomas, leveraging intricate surgical techniques to navigate the nasal passages for effective tumor removal.
