Associate Professor Rachael Bashford-Rogers focuses on elucidating the mechanisms behind adaptive immune system dysfunction and its relation to various diseases. Her research aims to improve diagnostics and therapeutics using state-of-the-art experimental and computational methods. She investigates the defects in the immune system's ability to mount effective responses, which can lead to infectious disease susceptibility and cancer immunodeficiencies, as well as autoimmune conditions. Bashford-Rogers works on understanding the interactions among immune cells, particularly in the context of inflammation and disease.
