She investigates the dynamics of minority communities, how they adapt and transform within diverse cultural landscapes in North America and Europe. Dr. Brown's PhD dissertation focused on an ethnographic case study of North African Muslim immigrants in Paris, France, and Montreal, Canada, exploring their relationships with their homelands and hostlands through the lens of religion, culture, and food practice.
